East Coast Love

12 Oct

I ended this summer with a family vacation to see my big brother on the opposite side of our country in Providence, Rhode Island.  It was a significant trip for me on multiple levels.  I got to rest in the comfort of my family's embrace all week. We laughed till our stomachs hurt.  We played to our hearts content. We shed tears with one another. We confessed. We prayed.  So many of these deeply meaningful moments were life giving for me.

Family, it's what we are and always will be.  But the difference about this week was the intentionality of choosing to embody and experience a whole another level of "family" together.  We had a choice. We dove in. And I see The Kingdom written all over this week.
