I graduated from Azusa Pacific University in 2007 with a degree in
Youth Ministry. After graduation, I was passionate to change the world
for Christ and I had an itch to travel.

In January 2008, I moved to Costa Rica to serve and love people
through teaching English. My time there was full of adventure, fun
and discovery as I experienced the
beauty of another culture. I soon realized, however, that I was alone
in my mission. The lack of support or any sense of community caused
me to lose my sense of purpose, become discouraged and cut my time
short. I moved back home to regain my feet financially, emotionally
and spiritually.

As I wrestled with God about His plans for my life, I decided to move
to San Diego to pursue a teaching credential at
SDSU. I soon came to realize that God had something more for me in
this city. The summer of 2009 I was introduced to a mission
organization called CRM-Empowering Leaders ( One of
CRM’s ministries called NieuCommunities (
started a new site in
Golden Hill, San Diego.

As I’ve gotten to know the people serving with
NieuCommunities, I have sensed God leading me to join them in
ministry and pursue Him here. I partnered with Nieucommunities in
August of 2009.
